Our Mission

To build accessible, open-source services for the world, so developers can build an internet where individuals own and control their data. We are re-calibrating how the internet works and building core technologies around it to help users control and own their data.

We call our platform the Elastos SmartWeb. We are based across the globe, but are united in the belief that the Elastos SmartWeb has the power to change the world for the better.

Our Solutions

Elastos draws on core technologies called Platform Components, including Blockchain Technology, Sidechain Architecture, Peer-to-Peer Networking, Decentralized Identity, Community Governance, and Decentralized Storage. Each Platform Component contributes unique features and services that draw developers and users to Elastos.

Elastos Foundation (EF)

The Elastos Foundation (EF) is a non-profit that provides developers with all the tools to build the Modern Internet of Elastos. The Elastos Foundation (EF) is composed of a Board of Directors chaired by Founder Rong Chen, Co-Founder Feng Han, and Operations Lead Ben Lee.

The Elastos Foundation (EF) facilitates various processes, such as resource allocation and dispute mediation, among a network of decentralized development teams that function independently, but which share the communal goal of building out the baseline code for the Elastos SmartWeb.

Elastos

The term “Elastos” refers to the technological infrastructure that is being developed by the Elastos Foundation (EF) in conjunction with a number of community members and organizations. Elastos is a public blockchain project that integrates blockchain technology with a suite of reimagined platform components to produce a Modern Internet infrastructure that provides intrinsic protection for privacy and digital asset ownership. Fundamentally, Elastos refers to a set of technologies that comprise a technical infrastructure. Joining our ecosystem, exploring, developing, and sharing Elastos technologies is free, and all are welcome to join the movement for a free and open internet.

Cyber Republic (CR)

As a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO), Cyber Republic (CR) is the decentralized community of individuals and organizations that has naturally formed around Elastos. Cyber Republic (CR) consists of ELA tokenholders, Elastos Foundation (EF) members, ecosystem partners, and any other teams and individuals that contribute to the development of Elastos’ technologies or the expansion of its community. The Cyber Republic (CR) community operates in an entirely decentralized fashion, where democratic processes are facilitated by the Elastos blockchain and a 12-member Council determines how to allocate ecosystem development funds through various voting procedures.

Elastos Essentials

Elastos Essentials - ‘Essentials, for short - is a Super-Wallet application that functions across all platforms - Android, iOS, Windows, and Mac. It provides full support for managing digital identity, storage, wallet, and token functions, as well as smart contract operations associated with the Elastos Smart Contract Chain (ESC).

Independent Teams

Elastos is providing the tools to build ‘true’ dApps for the SmartWeb: a Modern Internet that’s safer, smarter, and empowering for users.

The Elastos Info team is community led and the site has all the third party news on products, teams, and the ecosystem. The team collects, curates, and organizes all news and information from across the Elastos ecosystem, including updates from the Elastos Foundation (EF), Cyber Republic (CR), and all Independent Teams.

Elastos SmartWeb (Web3)

Elastos is the first decentralized infrastructure for the Modern Internet. When we talk about the SmartWeb, we are talking about a safer, smarter, and more equitable internet with more value committed to the user. Decentralized Applications (dApps) that utilize Elastos technologies comprise this new SmartWeb. Web applications, native mobile applications that leverage the full software stack, and applications that employ tools and services from Elastos Essentials are all contributing to the formation of the new SmartWeb.

We take decentralization seriously – it’s hardcoded into our infrastructure. This means you actually control and own your data.

The Elastos Mainchain (Blockchain) is fully decentralized by BTC and BCH’s hashrate. Our public open-source blockchain is supported by mining pools around the globe, and does not require miners to utilize additional resources.

Smart Contract Chain (ESC)

Executable smart contracts written in Solidity (ETH) can be compiled and run on Elastos’ sidechain architecture. The Elastos Smart Contract Chain is a compatible EVM-chain that employs DPoS consensus.

Data Ownership

In the Elastos SmartWeb, users can register unique identifiers called DIDs, to which they can attribute and privately store all of the data they generate. Whether users then choose to sell their data or keep it private, as proprietors, they are ultimately in control.

Sidechain Scalability

The Elastos DPoS Supernode network is extensible and can provide consensus to numerous sidechains. This allows the Elastos Ecosystem to scale horizontally with different multi-purpose sidechains.
